I have a remodeling company where we do high-end projects, so I am cognizant of what it takes for tradesmen to perform their work. Jim’s remarkable skills enabled him to repair our 30-year-old solid surface countertop. In fact, what he did actually takes more expertise than our fabricators had in creating it. This was his second repair for us and both are very impressive. You can count on him to call you back, show up on time, and conduct himself in a professional manner. We find this combination of workmanship and sense of responsibility hard to find these days. The value he brought to our repair offset the $10,000+ it would have cost us to replace our countertops in today’s market. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have pricing guidelines available on our website at TopRepair.com. In most cases, we can provide you a detailed proposal and an accurate price if you send digital photos and a full description of your problem. If you let us know in advance that you will pay by cash or check instead of credit card, we will give you a 3% discount. We have some discount offers on our website as well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like it when our customers provide digital photos of their project, along with a detailed written description. We are always willing to answer questions about countertop repair, and if we are not the best company to assist you, we will try to provide a referral to a specialist who can assist you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The owner of TopRepair, Jim Heaphy, has over 35 years of experience in the countertop industry, and is a certified Corian fabricator. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco. For many years, he was a part-time instructor teaching courses in fabricating and installing DuPont Corian countertops, conducting training seminars from Hawaii and California to Pennsylvania and Florida. He has completed many industry training sessions over the years.
