About

I am a member of MTAC (Music Teacher Association of California) and enjoy working with children and seeing them grow in knowledge, confidence and self-worth. I have taught music in schools as well as private lessons for over 30 years. My specialties are piano and flute. My goal is to have my students look forward to their lessons and leave with a smile, having learned and accomplished something new. I enjoy seeing my students progress and, while having fun, acquire love for making music.

My 7 y/o daughter has been taking piano lessons from Hafdis for about 7 months and we have had a wonderful experience! Hafdis is great at connecting with her at her level. She has a nice balance between teaching and reinforcing proper technique but also making it fun for young ones. I have full confidence my daughter is receiving the best possible foundation for success in piano playing through Hafdis's teaching.

Hafdis is very musically multi-talented and gifted in teaching. We need more encouraging and energetic people like her. She taught piano to my 3 children and then flute for my daughter and me when she lived in the Los Angeles suburbs. You cannot go wrong investing your time and money with Hafdis.
