Bert is a phenomenal piano instructor, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Bert is the first instructor I have ever had that has tailored lessons to my goals and musical preferences and personalized his teaching approach based on my learning style. Before the first lesson, I like to get more information about what you're looking for out of piano lessons: whether it's to build a foundation for learning new music, or it's just to be able to learn your favorite song.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music from the University of Puget Sound and studied piano, music theory, music history and more. I have also been playing piano for the past 30 years.
