Introduction: It's very important to pay attention to the details. Being flexible and having the ability to improvise when the situation calls for it. I really enjoy cooking new ethnic recipes. It's fun to try something new and exiting! I enjoy infusing various artisan recipes and techniques of Italian, Mediterranean, French, Spanish and Asian cooking. Fusing different cultural ingredients and techniques is exiting. I really enjoy making fresh mozzarella and burrata, as well as hand-made gnocchi, raviolis, authentic Italian wood-fired pizza and desserts to name a few. Chef Don Garrett and his crew catered four meals (two dinners and two brunches) for ~50 people over the course of our June 2015 weekend wedding and we could not have been happier with them. Across the board they were professional, attentive, and fastidious. Chef Garrett is a creative and highly-skilled chef, and every meal was outstanding - The all vegetarian menu he prepared wowed even the biggest carnivores in our group. Moreover, he made sure we were completely taken care of - for instance, after our ravenous group ate more than our share of Saturday brunch he drove several hours late that night (we were in a remote location) to make sure there was enough for Sunday brunch. We hired Wine Country Artisans Catering to cater our 90 person wedding in Monte Rio and could not have been happier with the choice! I was completely set on the idea of having wood-fired pizza at our wedding, but was experiencing all kinds of challenges in finding the right person for the job. Enter Don. After just a short conversation with him about my vision for the big day, he promptly sent over a mock up menu and I was sold! The food was absolutely outstanding and was EXACTLY what I had in mind. On the day of, Stacy, Don's business partner was a very important player. She made sure that she had every single detail covered so that everything flowed without a hitch. Her thoroughness, thoughtfulness and keen attention to detail made the evening flow perfectly! Thank you Don and Stacy for outstanding food and Service! We hired Wine Country Artisans as the caterer for our wedding weekend at Leonard Lake Reserve and they totally blew us away. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have delicious, reasonably priced food for their wedding, made and served by some of the best people I’ve ever met. To start the food was phenomenal. Our guests could not stop raving about all of their favorites! For our rehearsal dinner, Don made a selection of 4 different pizzas as well as salad and they were completely mouth-watering. On Saturday, they served appetizers including ahi tuna tacos, bruschetta, baked brie with raspberry chipotle jam, and chili lime shrimp. Dinner was a buffet of beef short ribs, chicken, creamy polenta, brussel sprouts and salad! Later that night they crushed it with some late night grilled cheeses. Then the next morning they made a great spread for brunch including a delicious scramble! Don is truly an unbelievable chef and you can see his care in every dish you eat. Second, their service exceeded any and all expectations. Stacy made a point of getting to know our whole families and frequently checked in with our moms/dads/great aunts to make sure they had everything they needed. During cocktail hour on our wedding day both Don & Stacy found us to make sure that we got to try each of the 5 appetizers! Third, they worked tirelessly to make sure everything went smoothly. On Friday evening it was unexpectedly rainy. This made it really hard to make the pizzas in an outdoor pizza oven, but our guests (and me) didn’t have a clue. The pizza tasted delicious and came out with speed! They also worked ALL weekend. Even though they only cooked for 3 meals, they organized our Costco purchased spreads for breakfast and lunch on Saturday and it looked incredible! I seriously have no idea when they slept…. Lastly, Don and Stacy are just absolutely wonderful people. From the first tasting we had with them when Stacy ran out to give me a flower to go home with, to the days after the wedding when THEY sent US a thank you note, I am just so impressed by the two of them. I felt they cared so deeply about my husband and I and really did everything that they could to make our weekend special. I’m honored to know the two of them and gotten the chance to share this moment with them. Thank you Don & Stacy!!

Don and Stacy are THE BEST!!! They catered our wedding at Leonard Lake Reserve for 3 days, and every meal was unique, fresh, and amazing. They worked around the clock from morning to night to make sure all the guests' special dietary needs were met and everyone was taken care of. Many of our guests wanted their contact information afterwards. A special shout out to Stacy who, besides performing her tasks, went out of her way to help whenever she could, from setting up and tearing down, late night snacks, s'more hours, and many many more (we called her the energizer bunny, not sure if she sleeps at all). We really got to know them and their crew during the wedding and loved everything about them. We felt so lucky to have had them as our caterers!!!

Don and Stacy went above and beyond to make our event a success. They decorated for and catered my husband's 40th birthday celebration a couple weeks ago, and everyone is still talking about how much they enjoyed the event. They made things easy, working around our schedules and food preferences, and it felt like they took as much joy in our event as we did. Stacy was extremely patient and creative in brainstorming decorations and put together an absolutely perfect setting. Everything, from putting together a menu to coordinating final event details felt so easy that I was almost worried it was *too* easy, but no; everything turned out even better than we could have imagined without our having to think about it or lift a finger. Every item on our menu was delicious, and I'm sure that anything we would have picked would have been perfect. Food presentation was beautiful and professional. It really felt like a special meal. The service was top-notch and above and beyond. The team was present exactly at the moment something was needed, but melted into the background at other moments. Just one example of the many instances they went above the expected was that we hosted our own bar, but I noticed that Don's team made sure the glasses we brought and they helped us rent were laid out beautifully. They also helped with the plate and flatware rental, made sure we had the right tables and configuration, and made sure all the final details were taken care of without our even being aware of the details. There were no hidden costs or hassles - everything we discussed ahead of time was exactly what was on the final invoice. I am so glad we worked with them and would recommend them most highly for any event large or small you're hosting. They're so easy to work with and the result just couldn't be better.

I completed a five years of apprenticeship training at Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, followed by continuing education classes at California Culinary Academy.

As a teenager I fell in love with the art of cooking. Working at a four star hotel I was able to refine my skills over a five year period. Being passionate about my work drives me.
