About this pro
My style of training is based on the psychology behind the behavior problems. By understanding what is the cause of the behavior helps me to work the dog through its issues instead of putting a bandaid on the problem. I also teach people to read dog body language and to use their body language to communicate back to the dog. Most people don't realize that body language is the main form of communication between dogs, verbal is a secondary form of communication. I am the only one in the valley that teaches my style. All other trainers do the exact same thing using food to bribe a dog to do a behavior. My style is motivated with fun, love and affection. I have more education then any other trainer in the desert. I have gone to Moorpark college to get my Behavior degree and I went to National K-9 School of dog training where I recieved my Master trainer certificate. Both programs required me to live and work hands on with the animals. National K-9 was a 4 month live in program & Moorpark College was a two year 24/7 program. Besides learning training I was also schooled in Veterinarian classes which gave me enough education where I could take the test and pass to get my registered veterinary tech license. Most trainers in the desert have recieved their certificate via an online program ABC (Animal Behavior College). I feel you need to have actual hands on experience in your education. I have trained police K-9's as well as service dogs. I have also more years experience and specialize in aggression problems. I know all training techniques and look at each dog as an individual, which means I do not do cookie cutter training. One size does not fit all. I also did physical therapy with dogs for 6 years which has helped diagnose problem behaviors that were due to physical problems that only an experienced eye would see. I have a non profit that offers low cost spay, neuter, vaccines & chips. It's called Coachella Animal Network. I worked as the behaviorist for the county of Riverside animal services. I am a AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator, I am safer certified which is a type of testing behavior. I work with several rescue organizations to help with dogs that need some work in order to be adopted. I have devoted my life to helping animals and it is the most fulfilling job I could ever imagine. Giving a dog a second chance. I have saved many dogs from loosing their lives due to aggressive behavior. I have helped aggressive dogs when no other trainer could. I am a lot of dogs last chance and I take that very seriously. I work with several rescue groups to train & rehome. There is nothing more fulfilling then giving a dog a second chance.
