Introduction: An unresolved past can haunt your present - whether it is from a difficult childhood, a traumatic event, or a painful relationship - and you can find yourself re-experiencing this pain again and again. I am a Psychotherapist and Coach, who specializes in helping people deal with their past to clear the way for a happier, more empowered future. My approach focuses on "getting" you, exploring with you, and using some of the most proven techniques for helping you move on. Each journey is unique, so my therapeutic methods vary with the particular needs and personalities of my clients. Studies have shown that certain therapies, such as EMDR, mindfulness-based and cognitive therapies, are particularly effective in treating anxiety, depression, and a slew of other problems individuals or couples may face. These therapies feature heavily in my sessions. My regular rate is $195/50 minute session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Although I employ a variety of evidence-based techniques in my approach, I focus first on really getting you, and then applying my knowledge and experience to help you get where you want to be. Each journey is unique, so your path will be customized to your particular needs and personality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have advanced training and experience in therapies that have been proven effective, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, trauma-informed yoga, and various other experiential- and cognitive-based therapies. These therapies feature heavily in my sessions.
