About
Rico(Chief Engineer): For the last 15 years, music and sound engineering is what I have been doing every single day, most days from morning till night. I LOVE WHAT I DO! Everyone knows or can imagine just how good anyone can become at anything after that long of a period of dedication and passion. I also think out of the box and over the years have developed new innovative techniques and ways to make all recordings sound their best very quickly! I also start mixing during the recording process and never waste any time! But beyond all that, its about how you are treated and I treat everyone with respect and my goal is for my clients to feel 100% comfortable in a very creative environment.

Folks...
If you want a professional sound engineer, in the Santa Clara area, to record your session, The Sound Theory is your destination.. Professional, prompt, and superb studio/equipment. Most of all, Rico (audio engineer) is concerned about optimizing your session for peak performance... The Sound Theory is your destination.
.I know that for a fact. I have had that experience, and will go again. Thanks Rico - you are a Bay area recording studio treasure.... Harry

RIco one of the beat engineers ive EVER worked with. His knowledge of knowing what you need to make your sound more platinum is cruicial for ANYONE trying to make it in the music industry. His musical ability is also what is key. The ability to hear tracks and know vocal pitches and timing are off, HELPS a great deal when recording. This place is cozy, and very professional. All sessions are private and you can expect the best when you come here

I'd have to say that Americo Fernandez, Executive Engineer for The Sound Theory, has been nothing but a breath of fresh air in the industry. Personally, he has done wonders for my projects and I'll continue to work with him in years to come. If you're in the LA/Burbank area and/or need elaborate work done on your recordings, I recommend collaborating with him! Great businessperson, and a great mentor.

I've had the privilege of working with Rico for a good 5 years here in the Bay Area when he was Bangin out tracks & Mixing & Mastering out of his plush Apocalypse Recording Studios (A.R.S.) Always professional & upfront, this guy's a genius when it comes to sound & delivery. SoCal is lucky to have you Bro & I wish you the best but I'd still do whatever it took to bring you back home HAHA!

I've been going to Rico's studio for over 10yrs, and I'm damm sure going for 10 more. He get's me where I need to be before I know where I need to be, he's fast and able to produce a higher quality of sound than any other studio that I've been in. Rico is constantly progressing and keeping up to date with the rapid movement of technological advances in studio programs & equipment. He's the best all around.
