Tammy is absolutely wonderful to work with. Her love of dogs clearly reflects in her approach to train. She is patient and works with you to achieve whatever you are looking for from you pet.May 12, 2017Verified
Tammy is an amazing dog trainer. We had our puppy do board and train with her and our puppy came back better than we could have hoped. Our puppy came back crate trained, socialized, and taught her all the basics. She even followed up with private lessons to teach all the commands.Apr 14, 2017Verified
Tammy is absolutely unbelievable. Our puppy Coop loves her so much, and we call her the "dog whisperer." He is so obedient when he's with her, and she is a great teacher to us as well. We had Coop do the board and train option with her and he came back crate and potty trained, and sleeping through the night (8+ hours!). We all (Coop included!) look forward to continued training sessions to keep up his skills. We couldn't be happier!Jan 15, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fees are based on how much time I think it will take to train the dog and the humans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to start with a free evaluation and consultation. This gives me an opportunity to assess the training needs of both the dog and human family members.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I started working in the veterinary field in 1990 and was licensed as an Animal Health Technician (AHT) in 1993. AHT has since been changed to RVT, Registered Veterinary Technician. I've spent most of my veterinary career doing Emergency and ICU work and started studying animal behavior as a hobby. In 1999, I graduated from United States K-9 Academy, after which I started Alpha K-9 Academy. After graduation, I continued to work with my teachers for additional training and still continue my education regularly. I'm also still active in my veterinary career and have been working at a general practice since 2009. My veterinary and behavior careers have proven to be very complimentary to each other. When there is a behavior issue at the veterinary clinic, I'm consulted. When there is a health question or issue with a dog that I'm training, my veterinary experience comes in handy.
