FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate reflects my experience, qualifications, and the personalized nature of my lessons. I focus on helping students learn efficiently and confidently, so each lesson is designed to maximize progress, comprehension, and retention.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For teens and adults, I usually begin with a relaxed conversation about your background, current level, interests, and goals. If you’ve studied Italian before, I may also suggest a simple level check. From there, I create lessons that match your needs and learning style. For younger learners, I use a more visual and interactive approach with games, songs, stories, and engaging activities to help them learn naturally and confidently. For younger students (TK, K, and elementary) I use a minimal language technique, instead keeping it more visual through flashcards and images. I guide my little students to play games, watch and comment cartoons, sing songs, and, eventually, read short stories in Italian. They LOVE it!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a fully qualified native Italian teacher with 20 years of teaching experience in both Italy and the U.S. My background includes a degree in foreign languages and teaching, additional teaching certifications, and two Master’s degrees focused on language teaching methods and student learning support. I also hold a Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs for middle and high school students, which has strengthened my ability to create clear, supportive, and well-structured lessons for students with different learning styles and educational needs. I regularly continue my professional development to stay current with effective language-learning strategies.
