My name is Dr. Brandon Schiller! I am a former associate-in professor at UC San Diego in the structural engineering department who currently works as a data scientist. Yes, some people are more gifted in these subjects than others, but I think we can all do well in these fields with proper teaching. In my experience, many students struggle because they are not being taught in a way that is most conducive to their learning. I work to cater my teaching to the individual so that concepts are fundamentally understood, not just memorized for the next test. We are all different, and we all learn differently. My philosophy in this regard respects just that. I utilize my extensive tutoring and teaching experience to develop the best approach for each student to excel.

Brandon has been great, he tutors both of my high school daughters for both physics and math. My rate is hourly. Discounts will be given for referrals!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New students should have the homework, textbook, and/or study guide pertaining to the subject they are trying to learn. This allows me to better direct our sessions together in a customized format ideal for each student. I host all online tutoring session with Zoom. It is free to download at zoom.us. This program has worked excellent for online tutoring!
