Goal(s) of golf lessons
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I've been teaching golf FULL TIME for over 17 years! This is ALL I do....I'm very golfy....I focus just on GOLF, golf swings, golf mechanics, golf basics, I study golf swings & golf players on "how" to be the best. I grew up in the Junior golf elite ranks in High School (WIAA & Washington Junior Golf Association, AJGA, PNGA events), played on the Washington State University Golf Team (#1 player for 3 years out of 4), I've won & played professionally for over 10 years...I know what it takes & what it will take for you! Every day is different. I love to teach golf because every golfer is different, every situation is different & goals are different. I love the outdoors, I love golf courses, golf vacations, golf "dates" & love to see a "smile" on my golf students faces when they get it! I love the results of a golf student "hitting the golf ball" for the 1st time or breaking 80 for the 1st time! All those "successes" are huge for me! That's why I teach golf & why I love this!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I help set golf goals, get a golf game plan in place & help them achieve that with golf drills, golf games & swing adjustments. All golfers receive an individual lesson game plan to achieve these goals. I will access the golf game with video, playing lessons & driving range work. We'll get our workbook out & get to work! Getting back to the basics (set up, grip, stance, alignments) are always the 1st - then we go from there!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find a LPGA or PGA golf professional in your area. Interview them- see if your goals, your personality "work" together as a team. Do you share the same vision? Does this golf professional TEACH full time or is this a "part time" thing for them? Ask them for their HISTORY of golf & their education? Are they LPGA or PGA certified? What is their availiability (days or times they teach?) If you feel comfortable with that golf professional, then go with it. I would get a few single lessons 1st, then go with a series AFTER you feel this is a RIGHT FIT for you.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Not every golf professional is "CERTIFIED" or have the education or knowlege to teach golf..... What EDUCATION POINTS or GOLF PRO's have they shadowed in teaching? ARE THEY LPGA or PGA certified? Anyone can "say" they are a golf professional.... that doesn't mean that a novice golf professional can't teach golf.....but EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION is KEY to "what you are getting from your golf lesson".
