I contacted this handyman to discuss a potential job but did not move forward with any services. I was later informed that I owed $36, even though no work was performed. I recommend clearly discussing any consultation or trip fees in advance to avoid misunderstandings.

Thumbtack makes all their $ off of us, the pros. when you "contact" a pro, that pro automatically gets charged money, yes real actual money. we are charged regardless of whether you hire us , say one word to us, say nothing to us, or dont hire us, we get a nonrefundable charge. so might I suggest when you "contact a pro" dont contact 4 pros and hire 1 then ignore the others, as this person did. Your essentially giving thumbtack money for no reason. out of our pockets. All the hardworking pros love ❤️ you and thank you 😊 🙏
