About

I have a method of piano pedagogy that incorporates all of the essentials for learning music. These include scales and technique work, learning to sight-read, and learning chords until they become second nature. I also believe strongly that every student needs to be learning to play by ear as well as being proficient in sight reading. For me, teaching piano is not a job, but a passion. Every time a student has a "light-bulb" moment, or every time something "clicks", I remember why I love teaching.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $20/ half hour lesson.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process would be to suggest a first meeting, discuss things such as their goals, their reasons for wanting lessons and also to determine their current level of ability. Then, we just go from there after establishing those few things!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in music, and am currently working on my masters degree in music. Both relate to my work since I learned so many teaching tools from college.
