Introduction: I offer private and small group violin lessons both in-person in Cal City and Lancaster, CA, as well as fully online for those who prefer the convenience. My specialty is making it possible for anyone, regardless of ability or disability, to learn to play the violin beautifully! I have a BA in music education, with over 30 years of violin experience and over 20 years of teaching experience. Lessons are tailored with a Suzuki-based approach for beginners and a wider variety of material for intermediate and advanced students.

Great instructor! Instructor is knowledgeable and very patient with beginner students. My daughter is excited to learn how to play the violin, and Rebecca made her feel comfortable from the very first lesson. My daughter is motivated to continue to learn. Looking forward to many more lessons!

I am happy to discuss pricing once I have a good understanding of your goals and the best fit for you!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is all about the basics for a beginner. We learn how to care for the instrument, how to tune, and proper hold. And we make a little music too! Prior to that, I provide all the guidance you might need to find a good instrument. The first couple of months of lessons are then focused on playing real songs with a beautiful sound, before bringing in note-reading skills.

I have a BA in music education from CSU Northridge.
