My dogs had chewed up the garage door sensors so I contacted Thumbtack to have the work done right away. I received a call to set-up the appointment right away and was given options for a 2 hour time frame to have the work done. The technician came within the timeframe and assessed the work right away. He went right to working on the repair before I was able to ask how much it cost. He was done with the job within 15 minutes and my garage was back to normal. When I asked how much the cost was, it seemed high but since the work was already done, I did not make a big deal out of it. I have to admit, initially I was surprised, but at the same time, it was my fault for not asking for the price up front. When the technician realized I was unhappy with the price, he impressed me with his integrity. He took responsibility stating that he could have mentioned it beforehand. In the end, no one was to blame. I let him know that I highly respect his honesty and integrity and for me, it is worth the money spent. It is hard to find companies with employees that work hard but also value their clients and want to do the right thing.
