About
I pride myself in not only doing a quality job for my clients, but also helping them make the best choices for their piano--balancing needs, wants, and individual budgets of my clients. I love providing value for my clients. For example, when tuning a piano, if I notice something needs a quick adjustment, cleaning, etc. I perform that additional service at no additional cost. I truly enjoy the smiles in people's voices when I am able to bring their treasured piano back to life. I have always been very involved in volunteering in my community. I have done everything from tutoring at a Boys & Girls Club, mentoring high school Senior projects, to being a city commissioner, serving on nonprofit boards of directors, and siting as a member of a quasi-judicial appellate hearings board for a county agency. The same love, care, and dedication I put into my community volunteer work, I put into serving my clients.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am involved in my local Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) which provides regular continued education, as well as I am in contact with the instructors at my former school and other piano tuner / technicians throughout the nation.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    1. Find out how they learned how to tune, service and repair pianos. For example: self-taught, correspondence course, apprenticeship, attend an on-campus full-time technical school (like I did). 2. How do they determine how much they charge. For example: a straight hourly rate, preset pricing, a combination of the two. 3. When are they available to schedule an appointment. Does their schedule fit your time-line? 4. Not all piano tuners / technicians are able to do every kind of work for a piano. For example, there are businesses that just specialize in rebuilding pianos, where others (like me) are general tuning, service, and repair tuners & technicians. Yet, even others only tune pianos or only service and repair pianos. And the list goes on.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I am a very friendly, caring guy, who absolutely loves to go the extra mile for my clients. It is important to me to do what I am able to do to help my clients get the results they expect in a way that fits their family's budget. I absolutely love the arts. I enjoy playing piano, writing stories for children, listening to various classes of music, etc.
