My dog Buster is about 3 years old and he just finished training with bar. Buster has been a good boy up until about 2 1/2 he started to become very territorial with our guests and any dogs we saw when I would walk him. Bar has completely corrected this behavior and has also taught me how to continue to work with Buster instead of enabling his behavior. Buster is back to being a good boy and we are very happy with the results. Highly recommend bar to friends and family :)

I am so happy I chose Bar for the obedience training of our 3 year old sheepadoodle. Koko was reactive to dogs and strangers by barking and pulling on the leash. Walking was quite the challenge. Koko completed the board and train program. Bar taught Koko to focus and follow commands. I visited Koko during the boarding and Bar provided the needed guidance for me to continue the behaviors once home. Koko is now a pleasure to walk. She is focused on me and my commands. Bar has a gentle but firm method of training. Bar is quick to respond to communications. Bar explained what I needed to do to be successful and it worked!!

Bar K9 Dog Training was the best decision we have made for our dog, Ludo. Ludo is a very loving and energetic dog, and had some difficult habits of excitably barking, jumping, and waking us in the wee hours of the morning. He was very territorial of me, and would get frustrated when embracing my partner or my other dog. Bar immediately recognized his sensitive nature, and was very calm in his approach. I really appreciated that Bar made sure to involve us so much on the training. He spend as much time as we needed to to help me and my partner understand our part in correcting his behavioral challenges. Upon arriving for our first training session, our dog looked the healthiest he had been after spending three weeks in Bar’s care. His progress was night and day…We were amazed when Bar threw treats in front of him and he did not rush to eat them, but waited patiently for Bar’s command (he was the smallest of his litter and had been very anxious/eager around food in the past). We are currently expecting a baby, and it was very important for us to correct some of these behaviors before their arrival. We can now rest assured that Ludo has an amazing foundation of training for us to work with - and we can actually get some sleep in the morning, all thanks to Bar! Ludo and Bar developed a very special relationship over his time there. I am so happy my dog was in his care, and grateful that he is available to us moving forward.

Bar at K9 Dog Training was the best! My family left our dog with him for a few weeks to tighten up some training and WOW was he a different dog! So quick to follow commands, so eager to perform well, and SO locked into Bar! We could tell Bar spent a lot of time with our dog -- they had a special bond for sure. Not to mention the facility (ranch) is stunning; a place any dog would thrive in. And above all that, the best part was the training sessions with us humans to learn more about our dog and how to best communicate with him to set us all up for success. We will be back for refreshes and boarding in the future for sure!

I adopted a 1 year-old purebred German Shepherd named Kotot. As a single mother with a toddler close to turning two, I recognized the significance of proper training for our new canine companion. I initially had reservations about boarding Kotot for training, but choosing to work with Bar turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made.
Bar's expertise encompassed a range of training areas—basic obedience, leash manners, confidence building, the "stay" and "place" commands, among others. He was not only exceedingly professional and adaptable but also displayed genuine kindness. Treating Kotot as if he were his own dog, Bar successfully brought out the best version of him.
Beyond the training, Bar provided valuable insights into Kotot's unique personality and shared knowledge about the German Shepherd breed that proved to be incredibly helpful. His support extended beyond the boarding period; he remained easily accessible for any follow-up questions and emphasized the importance of post-training sessions.
Thanks to Bar, Kotot is now a well-mannered member of our family. We can comfortably enjoy dinner with friends while Kotot remains peacefully in his bed. Walks have become a joy rather than a struggle, devoid of any pulling or concerns about control. Everyone who meets him is extremely impressed by his behavior and obedience, all credit to Bar's exceptional training. I wholeheartedly recommend Bar to anyone in search of a dependable, effective, and compassionate dog trainer.
