I called on Brian when I wanted to propose to my then girlfriend and have photos taken of the proposal without her knowing. Brian helped me figure out how to set it up so that my GF wouldn't know he was even there, arrived before we did, was ready with multiple cameras, and a fun part of our special day. She truly didn't know he was there until AFTER the entire thing and he came over to take portrait photos of us together. They are pictures we will cherish forever !Jun 20, 2020
Brian takes stunning shots and his knowledge of photography equipment is crazy impressive. He’s so easy to work with and incredibly flexible. If you know what you want... he knows how to get it. If you don’t know what you want, he has vision and a damn good eye and will find it for you. Brian delivers every time, I cannot recommend him enough. I have loved every moment of working with him and will continue to do so for years to come. Most of my Instagram posts are shots by Brian @givenoflamingos. The best.Jun 19, 2020
What an incredible pleasure it is to work with Brian and Phomo Media. You can tell right away he has a warm energy about him, and it makes relaxing for the photo session completely easy and natural. His easygoing yet professional demeanor makes for a fun session, and then these outstanding images appear that demonstrate the artistry and eye he has. (He was also excellent with our toddler for her first birthday shoot!) We are grateful to Brian for so naturally and elegantly capturing both everyday moments and once-in-a-lifetime experiences for us. He comes highly recommended, if you are lucky enough to get to work with him!Jun 14, 2020
Brian has been great for each occasion we’ve booked him for. He always arrives on time, is prepared, doesn’t get in the way, and takes lovely photos. He's able to capture both candid and posed moments, send beautifully edited photos back quickly - which I always appreciate. We really treasure all of the memories Brian has captured in the many special moments of our lives as a couple and now family. I also asked Brian to take some professional headshots for me, and it was a great experience. It could have certainly been awkward (considering I’m a therapist and not used to being front and center), and Brian made the experience easy, fun and great. I’d recommend him to anyone!Jun 19, 2020
I was lucky enough to have Brian come aboard an AT&T shoot as our on-set photographer (for a shoot with 20 cats!). He turned out to be a life-saver. Brian went above and beyond for us. Not only were his photos fantastic, but he helped us work more efficiently on set than we even thought possible. On previous shoots, we would have to devote specific time after video for the still photography. Not with Brian. He was on the floor, or perched in a corner, or wherever he sneakily needed to be to get the shot while we were rolling without disturbing the director and our video shoot in any way. Thanks to Brian's skills and cunning approach, we saved time on set (and money and crucial talent energy...). Our director loved that Brian already had his shots, allowing more time for the director to shoot our spot and work with the talent. Brian's photos turned out so well that we wound up using one in the actual spot (we needed a phone screen to be filled in an end card so we threw in one of Brian's now beloved cat photos per our Creative Directors' request). The spot director, agency creative directors, and AT&T clients were all very impressed and have asked for Brian again. He is a true talent with a refreshing attitude and collaborative energy. Can't wait for my next shoot with Brian!Jun 20, 2020
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? All packages include a basic number of photos that varies depending on the job. Additional photos can be purchased as an add on. I shoot with top of the line Sony mirrorless gear, which allows me to photograph and film silently for events, in addition to on sets of film, TV, and commercials.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will start by speaking with the customer about what he or she is looking for, including inspirational photos or examples of my work that are of interest. I'll then create a shot list with a client before the event. I'll arrive early and work with the client to make sure we have everything before I get to editing. After the shoot, I will create an export of low resolution photos for the client to favorite. At that point, I get to editing. I will send the finished photos in smaller and larger resolution - for sharing digitally and for printing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Produced a hybrid of set photography, electronic press kit, and behind the scene footage for film, TV, and digital media marketing departments including ABC, Super Deluxe, Lunacy Productions, and other independent productions. Print work featured in publications including The New York Times and Hollywood Reporter
