Introduction: I am a high-energy and outgoing person who thrives in both personal and group instructional environments. I studied psychology at the University of Virginia and I have since worked in fitness training professionally both in Virginia and California. I was a student-athlete at UVA, having been recruited for the football team as a wide receiver, and I was put through the athletic training program. The athletic training program required me to study kinesiology and human anatomy. Leading a healthy lifestyle has always been a top priority of mine, and I have genuinely enjoyed helping others value their health and fitness through fitness instruction.
I have many years of experience working in the fitness realm. As a dance fitness instructor at UCLA's John Wooden Center, I led and coordinated dance classes that help students with fitness as well as actual choreography instruction multiple times a week. In 2011 I was voted as UCLA's Cultural Recreational Affairs " Newcomer of The Year". I was also featured in the UCLA's Daily Bruin as one of the most popular teachers on campus.I would also design and provide private exercise regimes for individuals interested in a more personalized approach to their fitness routines. Much of my enjoyment comes from seeing both the physical and mental progression in my students, as I truly believe fitness is a vital part of our daily lives. With teaching classes at the Wooden Center, I also encountered student injures where I was forced to respond in a fast and efficient manner in order to insure the safety of my student and their health.
I enjoy the moments where my students pick up the choreography and/or see progression in their workouts. The happiness I see in their eyes, makes me appreciative of my teaching talents.
