Special Modern Design was founded in 2000 by award-winning designer and brand strategist, Karen Barranco. As a former Creative Director in several design firms, she realized the clients were not getting the attention they needed. Their message was getting diluted in office bureaucracy and jumping from person to person. She founded Special Modern Design based on the need to craft and deliver effective branding campaigns directly with the client. She adopted her own process, using common sense and instinct that delivers favorable results for her clients.
