Hello, My name is Steve Wastell. Hope you're having a great day! I am a Medal Winner and regular performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. Steve performed at a corporate holiday party with 400 people. He moved around the crowd, making sure everybody got to experience magic. Some of the best feedback I got from the event was his performances. He is extremely professional, kind, and a great addition to your party! I highly recommend him.

I reached out via thumbtack to hire a magician for a party in Palm Springs. Steve responded immediately and we spoke about the party. He had some great suggestions to maximize the interaction with guests. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Even though the plans for the party changed and didn’t go forward with the magician portion, I would definitely hire Steve for an event big or small.

I hired Steve for our Firm Holiday Party. I found Steve on Thumbtack I saw his videos, which are pretty impressive. Steve always replied, professional and was there on time and worked with the DJ on sound. Excellent as far as professionalism goes! But this guy live, OMG nor I or I don't think anyone expected what Steve brought to the table. Everyone was in ahhhhh, or scared (LOL). As for his show, he was mind blowing, I can't thank you enough for having our firm enjoy you incredible and mouth dropping magic. Steve had all these big wig partners and attorneys and basically the entire firm asking WTH!! No one was expecting what Steve had in your back pocket, and everyone was so impressed asking me how the hell I found Steve! Steve you did me more than right and I would hire you again in a heartbeat! Amazing just amazing!! Thank you so much HNY!!

Where do I begin!? I cannot recommend Steve more highly. My husband and I love magic and we were trying to get to a show for his birthday. I was 8 months pregnant then and it was getting harder to leave the house so I turned to thumbtack and found what was way better than going to a show- Steve! He and I conspired to make his show a surprise for my husband's birthday. We invited about 25 people over and it was an absolute blast. Steve was completely professional, responsive, so so talented, and worth every dollar. His show was mind-blowing; it was also moving and helped us connect to magic. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At first glance, it may seem like my pricing is a bit higher than some but like most things, I believe you really do get what you pay for.
My pricing is based on an hourly rate for walkaround magic. A show is a little bit more but includes more magic. Travel and day of the week is also a factor but I am always willing to discuss your budget and try to work with you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I may be old fashioned but I still like to talk on the phone, I think you get a better feel for whom you are dealing with and it helps to get to know you a little so I can tailor my show to your specific needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a performing member at the world-famous magic castle. I started performing magic in bars while I was bartending. I was blessed to perform every night for all kind of people, as I honed my craft through trial and error over 20 years in bars and restaurants from the East coast to the West.
