FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a DJ, my continuing education is my research into music, styles, and gear. Many people don't realize the hours upon hours of time that professional DJs put into finding songs that fit just that perfect moment. Everyday I'm listening to dozens of new and old tracks to find the gems that will make you move. Every gig gets hours of research put into what I need for that type of event, what kinds of music people like from that area, what age groups might be there, creating the proper playlists, finding the tracks that fit perfectly with the event.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 1999 I became a semi-professional dancer. My dance crew was hired by a party production company to travel, dance, and promote. I was always entranced by the music that the DJs of the time were playing, and quickly wanted to meet someone to teach me this art form (because it is an art form). My dance crew eventually wanted to have our own mixes of music to have at our events, and I eventually met those right people that took me under their wing and taught me the ins and outs of DJing. Once I played my first gig I was hooked for life, and never looked back.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most commonly I am known to provide proper musical entertainment for all ages and styles of events. From the classics of the 40s all the way up to the top hits of today, I've got all styles of music to please nearly any crowd, and know how to use it properly at the right time. Also known as a great emcee for events, being able to properly announce, keep events on track time-wise, and hype up your crowds into having a great time!
