Introduction: Pilates has become my passion from the moment I took my first class.  After years of practicing Pilates as a technique and philosophy, I was inspired to complete the Pilates Teacher Training Certification from the nationally recognized Pilates Sport Center because I wanted to share my passion, experience and joy of art of Pilates.   Certified by National Pilates Certification Program (NCPT) and recognized by United States Registry of Exercise Professionals (USREPS), I specialize on Physical Rehabilitation and Pre-/Postnatal Pilates. Currently pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I implement Pilates exercises and philosophy in helping people recover from injury, restore healthy movement patterns, and to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.   My sessions are customized with emphasis on rehabilitation, stress reduction, alleviation of muscular imbalances and spinal pathologies. I have developed various body-transforming routines that are based on clients' priorities, regardless of their age and fitness capabilities. These series provide an efficient workout that combine different Pilates apparatus such as Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel as well as various Pilates accessories.     After being certified for Pre-/Postnatal Pilates and extensive teaching experience, I have designed Prenatal Workshops that educate new moms implementing Pilates technique to ease and physically prepare the body for pregnancy, labor and delivery. Known for life optimism, high energy, creative workout routines, sold out classes and philanthropic events, I share my Pilates passion with people from all over the world. I am a professional violinist, and have been playing for 26 years. In this time, I have developed issues with my posture and which could lead to long term negative effects and perhaps hinder my career. I specifically requested Tatiana for a physical assessment due to her expertise in posture alignment, as proper evaluation is critical for performing artists. After a thorough assessment, she has developed an extremely detailed short and long term program, where exercises are adjusted for performing artists, making sure that my joints and wrists are not under too much strain. I notices that our weekly sessions (I take 3-4 sessions per week) are never the same, and every session is a challenge measured to my abilities. I have also addressed arm pains I've had lately from practicing and strain. This issues has also been resolved. She has given me a series of exercises that I can do at home using only the 'pilates ring' and the 'terra bands' with various resistance levels. Ive only been taking sessions for 3 weeks, and already we have done plenty of exercises using the Mat, Reformer and Cadillac. Her designed program has already helped me improve my muscle tone. I am certainly much more flexible, and I built muscle strength. She is highly qualified and extremely professional and serious about the art of Pilates. This is a quality I highly respect and value, so given her abilities and based on my personal results and experience, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve the health of their lifestyle.

Tatiana is hands down the best when it comes to strength, conditioning and working through or around injuries. Having played collegiate sports, training 6-7 days a week and working out with personal trainers I have achieved the most results without injury and knowledge of how to properly use my core to take the burden off of other parts of my body. Tatiana has successfully rehabilitated me from a full hip replacement and non surgical achilles tear. Being that I am only 39 I appreciate her genuine concern to help me get better and perform at my best. The biggest misconception I had about pilates was that I wouldn't be able to lose inches, get strong and be physically fit. It's possible and in fact I have never sweat harder if you are willing to put in the work Tatiana is your person and just the person to get you there. I have been a loyal client now for 3 1/2 years because I realize she is worth it and when I'm not going I am physically and mentally not my best self. I could not recommend her any more and definitely feel if you are just getting into pilates it will not be the same with someone else. You will not regret working with Tatiana.

I have severe back issues such as scoliosis that affects my posture, mobility, motor skills and balance. I have decided to try Pilates and was looking for an instructor with extensive anatomy knowledge who can not only help me in pursuing fitness goals, but also with restoring functional movement. When I came to the first session, Tatiana conducted our private session in such a way as to motivate me to return for the next one. She formatted the first session such that I would be capable to perform the necessary activities while still within my physical comfort level. Tatiana strives to demonstrate any progress I have made at each session and comparing my accomplishments from the previous sessions. Often she uses a large format mirror in our sessions so that I can see myself and my results. She also stated filming segments of our sessions so that I can view myself from at a different angle. After 6 months of private sessions, I have noticed significant signs of improved posture, better balance and coordination, endurance and motor skills. I am now attending bi-weekly sessions and keep a written log of my physical activities, progress and results.

I tried Pilates before but honestly did not like it too much until I met Tatiana. I didn’t have very good posture or much core strength, so I was a bit intimated to take Pilates again, but because I was experiencing constant neck and shoulder pain, I decided to give it another try. I am so glad that I did—Tatiana is extremely knowledgeable about the human body. She knew exactly what to do to help alleviate my pain. She tailored and adjusted movements to meet my comfort level. She also showed me neck and shoulder exercises practice daily and within weeks, the pain had drastically improved. I continue to take Tatiana’s classes regularly, and not only do I feel stronger and more confident, the aches and pain are minimized. Tatiana is attentive, thorough, gives clear direction and makes sure that proper form is being used. I am so thankful for her!

I am 45 years young ;) and have dabbled in stretch classes and pilates for about 10 years, but it wasn’t until about 3 or 4 years ago that I “found” Tatiana Pogorelova. Tatiana is very special to me. I have taken Pilates with a lot of instructors over the years, and am now almost exclusively her client. I take every class I possibly can because she is just that good. Her in depth knowledge of the skeletal and muscular systems has made me a bit of an expert on my own body. When we first met, my most serious issue was my wrists. After years of dropping to the floor for burpees, and one-handed push-ups, and lifting and working out like a man (to each their own), I developed tendinitis in both wrists and was unable to put ANY body weight on my hands. She encouraged me to do what felt good, don’t “break” in the wrists, and to modify. Today my wrists are strong, and even though there are still limitations, I have learned to keep using them, and not to be afraid to be challenged. I look at my body today and I feel powerful. I am not skinny, or suuuuper fit, but I am longer. The muscle definition in my arms is lean and long and beautiful, I perform difficult movements in class now- that I could barely do when I began, and I have maintained the flexibility of my younger body. Tatiana has a special, athletic style that leaves you feeling like you DID it! Lol. She will make sure you breathe which is something so many instructors overlook, and is my BIGGEST pet peeve. She can see the adjustments you need to make because she has a real understanding of how the body compensates. You will breathe, build, be challenged, shake, sweat, and smile. I am so grateful to be able to write this review. I’d take her class every day if I could, and one day- will be nabbing private sessions at every opportunity.
