David Jia began tutoring professionally at 17 years old in the subjects of math and reading for Kumon Learning Center. After attaining a perfect 800 math score and 680 reading score on the SAT, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Miami. While working towards earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, he continued to tutor privately. Following graduation, David moved to California, where he studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and taught for several local tutoring agencies. Finally after years of teaching for other tutoring companies, he decided to start his own business: LA Math Tutoring.
