Introduction
Welcome to our doggy haven in the Santa Cruz mountains! I love dogs and have 30 years of experience in providing exceptional care for furry friends. At our 5-acre retreat nestled among towering redwoods, your beloved pups will find themselves in doggy paradise. The five acre yard is FULLY FENCED, one long fence around five acres with our house in the middle.
I grew up on a ranch with 7 dogs, two cats and a bunch of goats/sheep and chickens. As a kid the dogs and goats were my responsibility, and I loved it. As an adult our friends and family often ask us to watch their dogs, since we have so much space here. Now we have turned this passion into a full-time job with our dog boarding business
Pups have the freedom to sprint around to their hearts content, through a wide variety of landscapes and obstacles. Old growth redwood stumps, open meadows, slopes and flat, your dog will not get bored here. I have found that dogs tend to get along great with each other here, probably because there is so much fun space to explore together. In the rare instance that certain dogs aren’t getting along we have the ability to isolate them in separate fencelines, so they can still have fun and get exercise safely.

Our dog will stay the end of May and the first part of June. We did do a meet & greet and were impressed with the facility and Eric the owner. Our dog loved it there so I anticipate no problems

Boris had a fantastic time at Eric's Paradise Dog Boarding. Eric is friendly and knowledgeable, and they clearly love what they do. They took the time to get to know Boris and tailor their care to his individual needs.
From the moment we dropped Boris off, we knew he was in good hands. Eric was always available to answer any questions, and he provided us with regular updates on Boris's stay.
The facility itself is spacious, and well-equipped to meet the needs of dogs of all sizes.
We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail that Eric provided. Everything was carefully planned to ensure that Boris felt comfortable and happy.

Paradise Dog Boarding in the Los Gatos hills is all I could hope for -- or even more than I could have hoped for as a place to board my 3-year-old dog.
My dog is a rescue, and when I adopted her 6 months ago, she had been abandoned once that the shelter knew of, adopted and returned once, and then was fostered for 3 months, ie long enough to think she was finally "home". So, imagine, that when I took her home, she really wanted to claim me as hers. So when I needed to travel and on the recommendation of a friend, I took her to Paradise Dog Boarding for a meet-and-greet, and immediately knew this was the right place for her -- both because of the property (5 fenced acres of hills, redwoods, and meadow), and because the owner Eric had lots of experience and appreciated each dog in his care. My stand-off-ish dog took to Eric quickly, to the property, and to the dogs that were there.
So, I had no reservations about leaving her for the long stay of 2 weeks.
Eric sends daily pictures of her cruising and romping with other dogs. Sometimes he includes comments on the day's activity, though the pictures speak for themselves. Eric has a calm demeanor with the dogs in his care, and many insights into dog behavior. He welcomes the dogs with openness and calm to be sure they are comfortable with him. He spends lots of time with the dogs, he administers any needed meds, and lets the owner know that he has done so.
He pays attention to the dogs, understands their habits and what they are accustomed to. But most of all, Eric welcomes them and enjoys them. They are something like part of his family, as the property is his and his family's home. I think Eric's understanding of dog behavior and his gentleness are reassuring to dogs and owners alike. Dogs like his individual attention, playfulness, and tummy rubs. He appreciates variety in temperaments, and engenders trust and acceptance, so the dogs are carefree as they roam, romp, and explore.

Our dog loves Paradise Boarding. She does not want to come home! It's like camp for kids. At first the child is tentative, but then they make friends and play hard. It's a blessing to know she is being cared for and not stuck in some kennel somewhere. Paradise is the BEST!

Eric has watched our dogs a handful of times. We always trust him to take the best care of our pups while we’re gone! He sends daily photos and keeps us up to date. Anytime there have been issues with the dogs, he always lets us know and works with the specific dog’s needs. Taking care of dogs is a lot of work, they are animals after all, and Eric has always been nothing but a person we trust with our dogs.
