Introduction: My focus is your vision. I know how to get that big idea created. Have been in the industries of music/ celebrity / movie poster and fashion for over 10 years. My gear is top of the line as are my photoshop skills. I want to create something that you can be proud to put in a frame. What you can expect from our session together is responsiveness, connection, and energy. For most sessions I come prepared with bluetooth speaker, playlist, 2 battery operated strobes to perfect lighting, a laptop and iPad so you can see images real time without looking over my shoulder on a tiny screen. I am fast at setting up what we need, and fast and cleaning it up when were are done. As far as downloading goes, you can expect your images in most cases to be within your reach in under a week, including the retouched images. I am so glad I found Josh Sep Photography for my daughter's engagement beach photos. I can't say enough about how professional, super personable, and very talented photographer he is. He is very accommodating and very patient. Josh made my family feel comfortable while they posed for pictures and they turned out great. I am so pleased with my session and final photographs. At this point, I think it’s pointless to entangle myself with this so-called photographer. And I hate wasting time. But after all, you are responsible for the choices you make. Josh Sep canceled his services three days before the event. According to him, he was injured. I can only surmise that he did. Yes, he had a replacement and gave me a $100 discount, but the replacement was shoddy at best. While his replacement was woefully unripe and with little consideration of customer services. Josh Sep should not be in this customer-based business. Don't let those stars fool you.

Accidents happen, and unfortunately this was bad timing for you and my other clients booked at the time. As an independent contractor, cancelling jobs is not something I am comfortable doing or have ever done in the past. My leg injury took me from my financial security for a couple of weeks, having to cancel jobs and refund money as I was unable to do my job. My clients are important to me so I offered any client who was effected by my inability to walk with two options, they could get their full refund back and find a replacement on their own or they could get a discounted rate and go with an available replacement that I had taken the time to find for them. Either way, I was to make any money from the job. Jamies particular job was a 4 hour birthday event, it would be absolutely unfair to him and his family for me to show up in crutches and unable to perform. I offered him what I offered my other clients. After a few hints of legal action and judgment on my character, it seemed the only way I could do to make him happy was to become uninjured. Jamie was not being reasonable, he had no solution to the problem that would make him happy, and finally he saw the work of my replacement suggestion and he agreed to use him instead of finding someone on his own. For an added apology, I gave him more than the $100 discount he says I gave him, I refunded him $250 of his full deposit back and didn't charge him for the certificate of insurance I needed to provide to the hotel coordinator. At this point I am not only not making any money, I had pulled money out of my own pocket to help accommodate the issue my injury has caused Jamies plans. I apologized again and to my knowledge the matter was considered closed by both of us. Now, two weeks later a still scorned Jamie writes this one star review on my page, a star rating that should be reserved for no shows, ghosts, and scammers, and he writes it on my public page. If you read these reviews and empathize with Jamie, please do not contact me for work. There is such a thing as "1-star clients"and Jamie proves that.

He created beautiful portraits of my children playing sports. I'm so amazed by the work he did that I don't think I would give another photographer a chance. He has so much experience and it shows. He brings all his own equipment and you can just watch his process and get excellent results in beautiful pictures. He definitely gave me more than expected and I can't wait to hire him again.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Pricing varies depending on the vision, needs and quantity of photos. The most modest prices I have can be a 1 hour/ 1 look/ 1 retouch. That could start at 100-200 depending on my availability. Some groups have gotten together and we worked out a deal like that. The shots that will be used for commercial, editorial or marketing would get more expensive and on a case by case basis.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I like to find out their vision, if any, and manage expectations and work with them to get exactly what they want. We work out a schedule that works with both of us and I require a deposit in case of last minute cancellations. I will then bring all my gear to them and we will make a shoot happen. I come prepared with a laptop and iPad so you can see the images as they pop up to make sure we are all on the same page creatively. Once done I upload all the images to have selects made by the client and then we retouch the amount of images we had negotiated. If more shots are requested to be retouched we can also handle that.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Bachelors Degree at UCSD in Visual Arts Certified Phase One and Canon Professional
