- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am flexible in pricing and will work with the customer to arrive at an acceptable quote that is affordable and works within their budget. I can provide quotes by the hour, by the word and/or by the page.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would typically have a phone call with a new customer to go over the scope of the work and to reach a mutual understanding of what's expected. (This can be done by email or text as well.) I would then have the customer send up to 10 pages of their work with which I would fulfill that understanding (proof and/or edit) and return. At that point, we would know if we are a good fit and an agreement on the price would be reached. I request a small downpayment to show good faith. Full payment at completion of the job or in milestones, at the customer's discretion. I would check in with the customer as often as required or as desired by the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have years of experience in many fields including fiction and non-fiction novels, children's books, screenplays, technical writing, legal, public relations, non-profit. I have a degree in English.
