Struttin Easy Dog Training

Introduction: I use only positive reinforcement methods on dogs. Training sessions are held at the dogs' home because I believe that they learn best in their own environment. I originally trained show Paint and Quarter horses for over 20 years. When I retired, I realized that I missed working with animals and their owners, so I started this small community business. I've always trained my own dogs, using the same positive reinforcement method I use on horses, so I set out to learn everything about dog training. My goal is to keep dogs out of shelters by providing them with solid training and educating their owners on how animals think and relate to their environment and to the people who interact with them. I do basic obedience training on dogs, and I also teach their owners how to do the training themselves: - Sit - Stay - Recall (come when called) - Jumping - Play biting - Housebreaking - Dealing with unacceptable chewing - Crate training - Good manners at home and in public - Interspecies relationships - Getting along with other dogs If what you need is not listed here, just ask me about it. Field trips are offered after the dogs learn the basic commands. Discounts are available for packages of five or more lessons. Other specials are often available. Contact me for more information.
