FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price work to match the realities of high-quality remodels in Marin and the Bay Area—transparent, scoped, and predictable. Design-only (architecture): Typically billed as a fixed fee by phase (or hourly for early feasibility). Final fees depend on complexity, permitting needs, and timeline. Design-build: We deliver design + construction with open-book, cost-plus accounting so you can see where money goes and make informed decisions. After a short call and (if needed) a site visit, we’ll provide a clear proposal with deliverables, schedule, and fee structure. If you share your scope + goals, I’ll tell you quickly whether we’re a fit and what the smartest next step is.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Discovery call (15 minutes): goals, timeline, permit intent, constraints 2. Site visit + existing conditions: measurements + photos (as needed) 3. Concept plan options: layout, key moves, and budget alignment 4. Design development: materials/systems, consultant coordination, refinement 5. Permit-ready drawings: clear documentation for approval + pricing 6. Construction (if design-build): weekly updates, cost tracking, quality control, closeout
