FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$80 / hr
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new clients, I try to get a feel for what they would like to gain from their drum lessons. (Ex. skill level, what music they like to listen to, maybe a song they want to learn how to play, anything helps!) All of this information gets factored in to my lesson plans.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When I first started playing drums, I had a drum teacher. I learned a lot from him and the way he would teach me. I received more formal musical training while I was in high school and college. I played drums/percussion in every musical ensemble my school had to offer (drumline, symphonic band, jazz band, orchestra etc.) I also worked with a music training school up here in Marin, called Young Performers International. I taught in home music lessons with kids ages 6-9 years old. I received a lot of great training on fun ways to teach younger students. I graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. The emphasis of my degree was Audio Production/Music Recording.
