Jeff was responsive and made the tight timeline work. He hustles and gets the job done with a friendly smile. His work gave the impression that he's a painter, and not an artist.
The end result was just ok. I really should've thought harder about the 1-day estimate, knowing that prepping the paint job often takes many hours. But I also think that Jeff and any other muralist bidding on my job was probably incentivized to say that they could do it quickly bc I had a tight timeline.
He was able to riff off of my initial ideas and came up with a design super fast. That said, everything about the job was very rushed, which led to a little bit of sloppiness. He painted a bit 'outside the lines' onto window sills, and left some paint stains on other surfaces, and I had to make sure he corrected uneven paint coats or visible paint drips/uneven textures within the mural. I think the tight timeline also led him to take some shortcuts - specifically by not painting the full design and leaving more whitespace. We needed to ask another painter to do touch ups to the surfaces that should not have been painted.
In the end, I wished I hadn't put something out to bid knowing that I had a very small window to get it done.

AMAZING!! Working with Jeff and his team was the best choice we made. No need to shop around. Jeff Carnie is your man. He transformed our 13 year old kitchen cabinets from plain and regular to stunning. 3 of our neighbors already want to hire him and you should too. Jeff really goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and satisfied. He is very easy to reach and willing to accommodate you at all cost. The same can be said of his team.
He also painted all three of my kids’ rooms and our large bonus room. He did some custom work and did an ombre wall in one of my kid’s rooms. His professionalism and personalization with the job was so refreshing. We did extensive remodeling and updating in our previous home and I can honestly say that this experience with Jeff has been one of the greatest. Not only in terms of quick turnaround times but his respect for your time and your home.
Here are the expectations that Jeff brought up before starting the project. The end result is all in the prep. Jeff masked off my entire kitchen like it was being contained for a disease. He was not kidding when he said he was going to cover the entire kitchen. Make sure you know what sanding a door really means. We had our cabinets re-done in our last home and we noticed the difference in quality and look when a proper prep and re-surface is actually done. Expect some heavy dust - prepare accordingly for that.
We had 5 different painters come to the house and bid on the project. Jeff was not the cheapest but in the end, I think his detailed work and customer service sets him apart. He is worth every penny. We definitely feel that we made the right decision and we are extremely happy with the end results.

I noticed that the very first day he came to bid on the project and every day he come in for work. Responsive. Easy to communicate with. Punctual. It's always intimidating in the beginning to hire someone you don't know to do a job but it's such a blessing and a relief when you find someone who does a fantastic job. I highly recommend him!

Jeff made the entire process so simple. He showed up when he said he would. Had an excellent design and quickly made adjustments as we worked through the final idea. Delivered on that design. The project was completed in less than a week from initial contact to completion. He is a master of his craft.

Jay did an amazing mural for my son, he didn't think we were crazy when we asked for a Minecraft theme. We showed him what my son wanted and he came back with an amazing design. Every star here on this review has been hard-earned. Jeff is incredibly talented, and a professional in every sense. While the initial paperwork took a few iterations to hammer out correctly, Jeff made sure the rest of the project ran seamlessly. His pricing is fair, and he is communicative and courteous in answering questions and providing updates. Our project was remote, so we especially appreciated 1) the digital mock-ups that Jeff provided prior to beginning work and 2) his sending us photos of the completed murals. We would hire him again in a heartbeat, and wish him the best of luck in his artistic endeavors.
