Deborah was an absolute delight to work with. Not only is she knowledgeable and effective, but her persistence is truly commendable. After a burglary left my already cluttered master closet in complete disarray, Deborah was a godsend. She remained dedicated to the task, even when I was tired and wanted to give up. Thanks to her, we managed to restore order to the chaos. I look forward to working with her again to declutter and organize other parts of my home.

Debra was amazing, she came over and helped me out. I essentially had all my life stuff stored in the closet of my bedroom, chaotic and had items just hazardly thrown into them by my past urgent moves. It was a mountain to move in my life and I needed help. I sure got the right person for the job. I had tried to rearranged it myself but it would results in chaos again. I couldn't understand why it was taking me so long and so I acknowledged the need for me to get some help in this area of my life. Debra swooped in and used her system to categorize and helped me to clean up and organize. It took a literal 8 hours to do! What would have taken me many days to do, Debra was able to do in those hours. I cannot thank her enough for coming over as things were straightened out, it allowed me to set the rest of my life back in full gear, knowing where everything is located. I would encourage anyone who feels overwhelmed that if you have the budget for it, don't hesitate to ask for help, it's saved me hours and hours and money to find the right items I need and to have peace and mind each day to prepare for my life.

A few weeks ago I came to a realization that my birthday was soon approaching, I wanted to give myself a gift.....the gift was to UnStuff my Life. I wanted to enjoy the last stage of life without anxiety after collecting 35 years of clutter. I wanted to be able to spend my days at home in a relaxed and carefree environment. I was overwhelmed with the job of uncluttering and faced the fact that I could not do this big job alone. I went to the Thumbtack website and did a search on home organizers. I received responses and did interviews over the phone. I was very impressed with the responses given to me by Deborah Smith so I felt that I did not need a face to face interview. My home is located about 50 minutes from her home so I was fearful that she would not accept the job. I held my breath until she made an appointment to assess and begin the task if we were a fit.....phew! Now I can relax. Deborah help me choose items to purge, sort and find new homes for those items. It can be very emotional for the homeowner to purge because of the memories associated with the item. Deborah taught me some little techniques to be able to let go. I equated her job to that of a psychologist where she analyzed, worked with my insecurity and made subtle suggestions when I was in a quandary about keeping or purging. She taught me to prioritize and to realize that it is the memory and not the item itself. We were able to work in harmony with each other so the process became much easier and pleasant. I know that I am not perfect, therefore, I plan to have Deborah revisit at times to help with a quick tune-up.

Deborah entered like a breath of fresh air! What had become a mountain of depressing clutter was quickly cut down to a pile that was managed, sorted, purged and stored. Deborah was able to make use of all the previously purchased containers that I had bought in a, futile but, ongoing attempt to gain control. I'll have her back to assist with the rest of putting my life in order. I can't wait to "Be Decluttered"! Thank you Deborah!

I had a paper pile up issue which got out of my control. Deborah came to my house for a consultation and soon thereafter found the root cause of my clutter problem. We made an appointment and tackled the issue together. I'm writing this flabbergasted at the results. In just one afternoons work with Deborah we accomplished more than I could have ever dreamed of in such a short period of time. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A complementary phone assessment is included. I offer numerous packages (above and beyond the regular 1 day session), which are discounted depending on how many hours are pre-booked. I do not charge for travel time. I will take purged items to various charities and donation centers--free of charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I schedule an in-home or phone meeting to assess your ultimate goal and needs and then set up a schedule to work within your budgetary and time constraints.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have attended various workshops and do constant research on the field. I have an analytical mind with advanced spatial abilities so I am a natural.
