"I was hesitant about taking horseback riding lessons, mostly because when I tried it as a kid, it was a little traumatizing. I remember the lessons were in a huge group, so I often didn't catch what was going on, and I remember being yelled at a lot (I'm sure it was for my own safety, but I would be so panicked by being yelled at that it was hard for me to learn). Due to the expense of taking lessons, and probably my lack of enthusiasm for them, I stopped going.
Fast forward a few (okay, a lot) of years and working one-on-one with Lorainne. In a million years, I didn't think I could feel as comfortable as I do so quickly. She is extremely knowledgeable about horses and riding. She is also incredibly patient and takes great care in explaining everything from the horse's anatomy and how to saddle properly knowing such, to knowing a horse's temperament and how to approach them. She works with me at my pace to make sure I'm both comfortable and safe. I absolutely love riding, and while we're still working it, I do feel a lot more confident than I thought I would!
Lorainne is very caring and a true joy to work with. My lessons are by far one of the best parts of my week and they are worth every penny!"
