Ambrose has been my trainer at Progressive Health & Performance since mid 2018. Gym settings were always very intimidating and overwhelming for me. I am not very coordinated and my balance was wobbly and I have no background in fitness. Ambrose personally builds each custom workout program taking in to consideration your goals, injures and challenges. Each session he checks in with your physical and mental health, and then fine tunes your workout accordingly. Each new program pushes my limitations and is always interesting and different. He possesses a wealth of health, fitness and coaching knowledge. He continues to learn cutting edge techniques of the industry and is excited and enthusiastic to share that knowledge with you. You get the feeling he genuinely loves his path of work and his enthusiasm is catching. He cares about your well-being. A few of the things we have worked on are: meditation and breathing exercises, stretching and flexibility, balance, core and strength training. He knows my limits and constantly pushes them to help me be/become the best version of myself. On tough days he reminds me to be kind and have grace for myself. I would recommend Ambrose to all ages. He works with high school and college athletes, young and old that are in looking for rehabilitation and anyone looking to lose weight and get in shape. I’ve been working with Ambrose for over 2 years and I’m always impressed with the value he brings to the table. He has a modification and progression and never loses sight of the mini and major goals. I could only choose 3 reasons why I like working with Ambrose but there’s many more! I have been working out with Amberose since around March of 2018. My experience in working out with him has been quite awesome. Everyday I show up he asks me how I’m feeling and how my day has gone, and it’s not just about working out, it’s also just talking about life. I appreciate when a trainer can do that with his or her client because it creates a friendship between the two, and I believe that Amberose and I have a friendship because of that. On the working out part of things, Amberose is very precise. If I am doing something incorrectly, he will fix me and let me know why he is doing that. I like that because then I know the reasoning for the way I am doing a certain exercise. He is also very good at training more than one person at a time. Even when there are more people around, he still pays attention to each and everyone of his clients, and he makes sure they are doing everything correctly. We offer custom, individualized private and semi-private fitness training in addition to nutrition coaching services. Our pricing lends itself to those individuals that have the highest commitment - the more and longer amount of time you are able to commit, the lower the price per session. So if you want to be here, we will do our best to facilitate options that can work for you instead of against you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We begin with a consultation where we discuss goals, desires, and motivators after introductions and getting to know each other. Within that consultation, often includes a comprehensive evaluation process that is tailored to the biomechanics, physiological, and psychological needs and desires of each individual. The findings of the evaluation dictates the methods used to help you overcome your greatest health & fitness challenges and reach your goals. Our team is focused on the use of science, instead of guessing, during the evaluation process. During the consultation, we will also discuss your current health & fitness experiences in-depth while also providing a clear path and plan to show how we can help you reach your goals. Once your first session is scheduled we begin by creating a shortened workout program for you to do independently that is designed to help you feel and move better so that we can maximize your time and resources when you do see a coach or trainer.
