FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up with photography. My dad used to take photos on all our vacations as I was growing up and then I'd hang out with him in the bathroom - yes that was the smallest room we had that we could make shift into a dark room hahaha - and I watched him develop the film as he dipped the photo paper from one tray to the next just like magic, there we were on the beach!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research and don't rush into it - what kind of photography style speaks to you? Do you see yourself in the photos? Do you prefer more traditional style or candid? This is your photo shoot, so pick the right photographer for you and not just because someone else used them.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
As with any other profession, photography is very involved trade and our clients only see the store front of it. Most of the work happens behind the computer screen - going through images: downloading, importing, sorting, deleting, enhancing, uploading, and of course the most time consuming task of editing. So pretty boring stuff for an outsider, right? But we do it because we love the process of developing memories.
