FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Particularly from my suppliers, who I am personally visiting several times a week, I get updated on new materials and improved methods.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A college buddy of mine was leaving for the summer to work for his father's roofing company in L.A. and I decided to join him. I was trained, quickly got a feel for the business, and realized that I could make a good living as a Roofing Contractor. Shortly after that summer, I got married, settled in Sacramento, got my contractor's license, and started Loveland Roofing. Business goes up and down with the economy, but I've been blessed enough to have the work necessary to support my family. It's now even more rewarding as I've accumulated the knowledge and life experience necessary to train my sons, and help them succeed. With two hard-working sons, two daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren (so far!), Loveland Roofing has become a family affair. -Mike Loveland
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We do quite a bit of complete reroofs. Particularly of wood shake homes. Wood shake has a lifespan of 20-23 years before the sun, time, and weather have deteriorated the material down to the point of needing replacing. In just a few days we can be in and out, leaving you satisfied with a beautiful and reliable new roof. Many of my wood shake customers are also looking to extend the life of their roof another season or so, and I'm able to help postpone the financial burden that a complete reroof can be, and do some wood shake maintenance. Tile is a wonderful material, but often needs some maintenance. Weather often leaves homeowners with cracked tiles that quickly grow into major leak areas. Especially if there are trees nearby, dirt and debris is notorious for building up in tile roof valleys. This slows water flow enough to give it time to get under the roof, into your attic, and eventually through your ceiling. Look at my pictures for a good visual on tile valley maintenance. A lot of people are getting solar panels, and the roof is a very effective location for them. Solar is a long term commitment, and it's very important you have a dependable roof underneath your new panels. Almost everyone who gets solar also gets a new roof right before hand. When buying or selling a home there are a lot of points to consider, including a roof. I have developed strong friendships and relationships of professional trust with dozens of realtors and value the good reputation I've made for myself. Whether buying or selling a home, I'm on your roof giving inspection reports and roof certifications. Often times it's most convenient to bill expenditures through escrow of the home, and I'm happy to do so with the costs of roof repairs or complete reroofs. People come to me when they notice something wrong. Maybe they notice something looks funny, missing shingles, or cracked tiles. Especially after a rain storm or heavy winds I get busy fixing damage. I'm here to help in any way I can! -Daniel Loveland
