FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It helps a lot if customers know exactly what they want done and where. Think about the details: What needs to be installed, replaced, or fixed? Do you already have the materials (like a faucet, TV, or shelf)? Are there any access issues, special requests, or deadlines? The more info you can give upfront, the faster and smoother the job will go.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most of my training comes from hands-on experience over the years. I’ve worked on all kinds of home repair and installation projects — from plumbing fixtures and TV mounting to furniture assembly and more. I constantly learn by staying up to date with tools, techniques, and best practices. Real-world problem-solving has been my best teacher, and I take pride in doing every job right the first time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always make sure you’re hiring someone who is both skilled and reliable. Look for a handyman who communicates clearly, shows up on time, and treats your home with respect. Check reviews, ask questions about their experience with similar projects, and don’t be afraid to ask for photos of past work. A good provider will be transparent with pricing and make sure you understand exactly what to expect before the job starts.
