Working with Ed on installing 3 ceiling fans and 8 recessed lights was an excellent experience- he's knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and offers upfront pricing. No existing wiring, unsure of attic status, but Ed was able to handle the job with ease. I'm very happy with how clean the project turned out and can't recommend the Torres Electric enough. Would be great to hire Ed for any electrical needs in the future. Thank You Ed!

Details: Lights • Ceiling fan • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • House

Edward certainly exceeded my expectations by his ability to solve electrical issues and his willingness to change his schedule to help us out with our problem. I’m not an expert on electricity so please ignore any wrong terminology. Our power circuit blew out and different rooms in the house were affected. I used Thumbtack to find an electrician and Edward responded right away. The straightforward reason, breaker, appeared to be intact, so the problem was somewhere along the circuit lines. Edward brought with him all the necessary equipment required for diagnostics. He was very thorough and explained in details his plan for the repair. He is a great person to talk to. He worked way past regular business hours and stayed until he identified the problem. It was not an easy task but he was able to solve the issue and restore the electricity in our house. Overall, I was impressed by Edward’s work ethics and his expertise and I would recommend him to anyone who needs an expert electrician.

So helpful in resolving our electrical problems. We needed to either add a meter through the Dwp or just separate the circuits and add a Submeter and I was told all my options, costs, benefits and drawbacks. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience and also helped out one of my tenants who's kitchen light went out right before the holidays and replaced it with an LED. Such a nice company and will definitely be using them in the future!

Edward is a great guy and easy to talk with, I hired him to install new recessed lights in living room and in hall way. Was more expensive then I planned on, but was well worth it. He is professional and experienced. He worked all day until late night, then came back to finish the job. He patched my ceiling too because it was too high for me to fix it. I will rehire on next project soon.

Ed has been amazing throughout the process. He has incredible attention to detail, meaning that he makes his installations neat and with consideration to aesthetics. He also makes insightful suggestions that cost little but add big value. I won’t call any other electrician from now on, Ed is our guy!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I don't have a standard. Every job is different. I normally don't charge for estimates, if I get the job.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to get to know my customers. I inform them of all the choices they have, I like to give them ideas so they can better determine the outcome of their work. I inform them of trending materials, such as, wifi connected switches that work with their phones. hardwired "Ring doorbells" as opposed to rechargeable or battery powered. Security is very important know a days, so I explain to them how having motion sensor switches help by turning lights on as your pet travels through the house. This way, I makes would be assailants think that someone is home. (These are essential, now that we all work farther from home) I have motion activated switches at my house, and I get calls from my neighbors, telling me they are at the door and thought I was home because certain lights are on. See, I did I little informing there.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All the time. I'm an expert pipe bender, high voltage cable splicer, instrumentation and PLC's, CAT IV and CAT VI, running and terminating. I also do Camers systems, Electric gate openers and I great at trouble shooting AC systems.(when your condenser is not running, its usually not motor failure. its capacitor failure. call me so I can take a look and save you thousands of dollars.) we have to have a minimum of 32 hours of schooling, every 3 years, to renew our licenses.
