Hi! I'm Oscar, an award-winning pianist, composer, and educator based in Los Angeles. I have been playing piano for over 20 years and hold degrees in Music Composition and Screen Scoring from New York University and Columbia College Chicago. As a working composer, my music has been featured on Disney+, PBS, and at major film and music festivals across the country. I teach piano, music theory, and composition to students of all ages and levels—from young beginners to advanced musicians and aspiring composers. My lessons cover classical and contemporary repertoire, technique, music theory, harmony, ear training, sight-reading, improvisation, songwriting, and composition. Whether you're learning for fun, returning to music after a break, or pursuing more advanced goals, I tailor each lesson to your interests, strengths, and learning style. I also offer structured preparation for exams and auditions, including MTAC Certificate of Merit, ABRSM examinations, music theory exams, college auditions, and composition portfolios. My goal is not only to help students achieve excellent results, but also to foster creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music. As an active professional musician working in film, documentaries, concert music, and dance, I bring real-world experience into every lesson. Students learn not only technique and repertoire, but also how music is created, interpreted, and applied in today's creative industries.
