Introduction: Sidewalk Singers was formed by world-class jazz/soul/blues singer, Serafia and her long-term partner, Dan Kattan at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown. All their tours and gigs were immediately cancelled, but they still wanted to continue to entertain, spread joy and help their community, all while maintaining social distance protocols. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, and memorable way for people to celebrate their special day during these tough times AND give a portion back to our community and neighbors in need!

Serefia was lovely to work with. She catered her music to our 4th of July event, playing both soulful versions of throwback songs as well as patriotic ones. She said a super mellow, relaxing vibe with her keyboard player and her voice is beautiful!

It really surprised by how many songs I could choose from. The singers were so warm and personable. Not to mention the songs were so well sung and the background played beautifully. Everyone enjoyed the music and the special touch was that she included my uncles birthday sentiments. They really made my uncles 100th birthday special.

I could only select 3 points. I would have selected all. Where do I start? The timeliness of Serafia’s response, her professionalism, friendliness, input for a wedding anniversary surprise for my wife along with willingness to provide an outstanding experience was more than above and beyond. The feeling that something special was about to happen and it did. She sings beautifully and engaging. I had a request outside of their playlist “Sparks.” by Coldplay. She was open to learn it and performed so wonderful. A great way to spend Saturday afternoon and will have them back. Made our day. More than a performance. It was an experience. I recommend the Sidewalk Singers for any occasion.
