Engineering Capital was able to arrange for Emil to come out on one of the days I am available and did the assessments on various structures (walls and post) in my house to see if they were load bearing. I received a brief email with notes and pictures from Emil as requested. I am glad to have the walls and post assessed as it helps me with planning my house renovation ideas going forward.
The guys at Engineering Capital was very prompt and got right to work. They assessed what I needed and as able to draft up a plan for me very quickly. I also asked them to change the plan a bit to accommodate an issue the contractor pointed out and they sent me the update right away. They are definitely my go to guys for any engineering work in the future. Also their price was very reasonable compared to others I asked.

I had a cracked support beam after I bought a new house. These guys came out to my house quickly and were able to address the issue with metal reinforcement. Quick and reasonably priced!

Harmick and his partner Emil were a joy to work with.
I needed plans to remodel a storage shed in my backyard but was unsatisfied by the options from Yelp or referrals. Reached out to Harmick on Thumbtack and he called immediately and he and Emil came over for a site visit the next day (a Saturday).
Harmick and Emil went far beyond the call of duty in a few ways. First, they suggested a completely option that would have solved my problem for lower cost and avoided the need for plans. This shows great integrity and looking out for clients' best interest, not their own pocket book. Second, when we decided that plans were necessary, they accommodated a rush job. They started immediately and worked hard to finish the plans within a few days to deliver them on Sunday so I could submit a permit on Monday. Third, the communication was fantastic. We exchanged numerous phone calls and emails, often late at night, to make sure every detail was considered and accounted for.
In the end, they delivered plans that were excellent and extremely detailed. See for yourself. I now have a go-to structural engineer for any project. Capital Engineering is the best option out there, especially for residential projects for a fair price and quick turnaround.

Extremely impressed with the professionalism and quality of service from Harmick and Emil. They went above and beyond to inspect every inch of our foundation and delivered a highly detailed report that will serve us well as we explore fixing several issues. We are licensed professional engineers in the state of CA. Both our partners have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's in structural engineering.
