We have a high-end home in the Lake Sherwood area. David Guth Construction is the company we've called for the past fifteen or so years for our premium quality work. We have a "handyman" who does little "fix it" repairs as needed, but we contract with Dave Guth for all of our remodeling and fine carpentry work. He's not only highly skilled, he's very ethical. He has never "nailed the job" and then disappeared for a few days, like so many contractors do. When Dave commits to a job, he and his men are at our house every morning on time until the job is completed. The impact on our lives is minimal, and that's important to us. He also shows you a detailed bid, is very clear about the amount of mark-up on each item, and even shows you his profit percentage. Most important, his crew is very talented. Dave has helped us design entire rooms. He's also a perfectionist--like my wife and I are--about finish carpentry. His ability to match existing woods and stains is the best I've ever seen. So far, a really good experience every time. Dave's not cheap, but the work is superb. The projects he did in our home in the 1990's still look as gorgeous today as they did then.

Dave and his team do high quality work. I have known Dave for five years. We had a custom shipping station built and have a table resurfaced. Dave took the time to investigate our needs and offered many suggestions to improve the design. We were not only impressed with his upfront research to make sure we would be satisfied with the end product, but the end product surpassed all of our expectations in functionality, quality of workmanship, value, and aesthetics. The experience at the professional level was excellent. Thanks again Dave!

"My objective for each of my clients is to combine God-given skills, the old school training I received from my Dad and the new technology available today to bring your ideas and building needs to life. I have been a licensed contractor in California since 1981. The projects have been varied and include commercial interiors, additions, remodeling, restoration of vintage homes and recording studios. Through the years I have been grateful to all of those who have put their trust in me to help them with their building needs, content in the knowledge that Ive done my best.
