Wedding Ceremony Music
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The basic system for quotes is $250 per musician for the first hour, $200 per each hour after. But I always negotiate the final agreed upon price so that both musicians and clients are happy and the clients feel they are getting excellent music at a reasonable price.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have played several weddings and private events, but also have done fundraising events and regularly perform concerts.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Definitely make sure you are clear on where the musicians will be placed and the electricity and sound situation. Great music can go unappreciated (and your money feel wasted) if you place the musicians in a place that your guests won't be able to see or hear them! The musicians can provide the PA equipment but there must be a place to plug in! For Indian music, it is usually customary for the Venue (Hotel, etc) to provide a platform for the musicians to sit on.
