Studying with Marie has improved my french at a good pace with plenty of improvement. She has helped to create a foundation for my studies and created a smooth path for me to follow as a student. She is always up for questions and gives plenty of ideas as to how I can improve my french outside of the lessons.

I set out to learn French this year. Thinking to myself "How hard can this be?", I began trying to learn on my own with some online software. After several months, I had made little progress in being able to converse in French and was becoming frustrated with the experience. Thankfully I found Marie! We began lessons via Skype and in just a few hours, I made more gains than I did in all of the time I spent on my own. It has been invaluable to learn pronunciation from a real human who is fluent in the language and doesn't have an accent in either French or English. She can pick out the subtleties of your mispronunciations and provide instant feedback which is just not possible for a computer.
I'm not enrolled in any formal class, so Marie has had to structure my lessons herself and provide course materials. She leads you through exercises to introduce you to new vocabulary and concepts, and then challenges you to apply these concepts through some activities. If you are struggling with a word, phase, or even just a specific sound; she'll mix up the approach. She'll over emphasize the correct sound in a way which makes you laugh and helps you to retain the information. She has also been a great resource of ways for me to practice in between out lessons.
She knows the language, enjoys teaching it to others, and clearly takes pride in her work! Based on my experience, I'm confident in Marie's teaching abilities and would trust in any subject area she is confident in offering tutoring.

Marie was an amazing teacher, very personable. I purchased the diamond plan, and it was the perfect amount of lessons for me to learn conversational french. I was able to go to Paris and converse with the locals. Thank you Marie! I will defenitely be recommending you!

I am at an intermediate level of French and needed a teacher with flexible program. I started with Marie a few month ago and I already can see my French improving! Marie prepares well for lessons to ensure steady and continuous progress. There is a good balance between grammar, conversation, and other activities! Also, Skype set up is very convenient!
I really enjoy learning French with Marie and I would recommend her to anyone who would like to start study French language or to improve their current level!
