Simple - I know how to paint your best self on paper. And I love doing it. Most of us need an outside person to review/write our resumes because we forget about all the things we have done or don’t even think about them anymore because they are so ingrained in our routines, or we play down or forget to mention our achievements. You have all the information - And I know how to get it out of you. I ask direct questions to discover your key strengths and abilities. My goal is to create a document that gives you the confidence to walk into any interview and land the job. You’ve worked hard and I make sure your resume shows it! It is one of the most important documents you own and I want you to not only own it but let it take you down the road you want to go. I love that!
For tutoring, I love to get students writing. I love to bring out the writer that is inside all of us and especially for those who are either timid, discouraged or unaware of the power of words. Reading and writing are necessary skills that play a role in everything we do. I want my students not to just tolerate it but to appreciate and respect it. And they will when afforded the opportunity learn it and do it well in their way and in their time. Writing is a process and every student needs to be in their process if they want to get it. You have to write to learn to write. It’s as simple as that and yet it can be incredibly daunting to do. And who doesn’t love talking about, reading or writing stories more than I do! I love it for both me and my students until they learn to love it on their own.
