🏊🏼‍♀️ Private Swim Lessons 🏊🏽‍♂️ Hello, my name is Berrin 🙂 I love teaching swimming because I love to see people improve their comfort and confidence in the water and master new skills. I love to see my students swimming, improving and especially learning how to stay safe in the water. I have been teaching swim lessons for 8 years with all ages, besides teaching my own kids swimming when they were younger. They are now 15 and 20 and competitive swimmers. I have also been working closely with children as a Special Education and Resource para-educator in public school for three years. I also work with Adaptive PE students. I earned my BA in Film & Television Production and completed post-graduate studies in Early Childhood Education. I am a Masters Swimmer and an ASCA-certified and USA Swimming certified Age Group competitive swim coach. And I have my lifeguard certification. Thank you 🙂

My 3.5 year old has loved her two lessons with Coach Berrin, and has been able to happily do things in the water with Coach that she was terrified of before! Berrin has a wonderful spirit that immediately put my daughter at ease. My daughter wants to say “I love you Coach Berrin, thank you for teaching me how to swim crawl in the water!”

We hired Berrin to teach our 3 1/2 year to swim and are absolutely thrilled beyond belief we made that choice. She and her son are simply amazing — if you’re looking for a swim instructor look no further. They are both immensely knowledgeable on all things swimming, very warm and genuine, and incredibly patient. During our first session, she spoke directly to our son and began building her connection right away. He now talks about her and her son daily, and can’t wait for his lessons. She’s patient, creative, and makes the instruction fun. She took time to understand and get to know our son and tailors his sessions to areas where he needs to get more comfortable and improve. Again - I can’t emphasize enough how happy we are. My only wish is that we started earlier with Berrin!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
• 20 minute lesson for $60 • 40 minute lesson for $120 • 60 minute lesson for $180
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We evaluate our students on our first lesson and see where they are at with their comfort in the water, swimming technique, etc. We follow the American Red Cross learn to swim guidelines. We would work with each swimmer's unique ability and confidence level to build better stroke techniques. We start from the beginning to teach learners how to be safe around and in the water.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifeguard, swim instructor, age group swim coach, and masters coach. All my certifications are provided by USA Swimming and the American Red Cross. I have CPR and AED certifications. I have concussion certification. I have 12 units of ECE certification. I work part time in a public school as a resource para-educator.
