Mel from Handyman Specialist has been my go-to for several different issues. In all cases, he was extremely knowledgeable and competent, polite, cheerful, honest, and demonstrated an impeccable work ethic.
1. My security screen door was not closing correctly, and Mel was able to repair it quickly and efficiently.
2. The master bath sink faucet had a constant drip, gallons of water lost daily. Mel diagnosed and repaired the problem with perfect results.
3. The master toilet had two problems: it ran unless I shut off the water supply, despite another repairman replacing all the flushing mechanism inside the tank. It also leaked around the base. Mel correctly installed the flushing mechanism, pulled the toilet to replace the corroded wax ring, and the toilet is functioning properly with no loss of water or leaks.
4. The tree in my yard had overgrown the roof, and branches were scraping across the metal chimney vent whenever there was as much as a stiff breeze. Mel scrambled on to the roof and had all the branches removed in a matter of minutes, then cleaned up all the debris into my green waste.
