I enjoy making people look and feel their best. I will gladly make unique costumes & custom garments, but I prefer to redesign, tailor and restore existing and vintage garments. I have taught costuming in a professional environment and have worked with private clients (both human & canine) in a variety of capacities. Jayne was amazing. Super thorough and super passionate, we had to make a custom designed hammock for our dog in the back seat of our car (we had to shorten the one we bought on amazon to make it fit next to the baby seat) and she did a phenomenal job. She came over a few times for fitting, she was always nice, careful (wore a mask. COVID!) and very kind. On top of that she did such an awesome work that the pup loves to sleep in the back hammock.

Six stars (if I could). A family stuffed animal and a real animal (a pet dog) had a fight, and my stuffed animal needed some real repairs. I visited several alterations shops in the area, and none of the shops said they had the right equipment or knowledge to restore the animal. I found Jayne on Thumbtack and was thrilled. Among the qualities I observed: - Great customer service! For a small fee she came to pick up and drop off the item at my office. Saved me a ton of time/mailing hassle. - Attention to detail! The item was restored perfectly. - Creative and can-do! You can trust Jayne with bigger, more complex, think-out-of-the-box alterations, repairs and so on. I imagine she's the right person to make your wedding dress perfect, repair something vintage, or otherwise take on a project for which your average seamstress just doesn't know where to start. Visit Jayne! She's lovely and kind and does great work.

I had a whole pile of clothes that needed alterations--everything from hemming a skirt a little to fixing the fit of a much-too-large fencing jacket. Jayne came to my house to fit everything, and I just got the first few pieces she finished back this weekend. They all fit perfectly and looked great! Jayne is definitely my go-to tailor in SF now.

I had a dirndl taken in so that it fit better overall, and Jayne made all sorts of alterations so that it not only was more tailored, but was also less hassle to wear! Along the way, she was also great at making suggestions for how things would be able to fit better. So excited to wear this soon!
