We worked with Laura and her team at LocusLabs to kick-start a B2B marketing program at a critical time for the company. They built us a website at half the time and three quarters of the price others offered, did our SEO, wrote our blog and newsletter and started a content marketing campaign, in effect getting from virtually zero to a fully functional marketing program within 3 months. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Interviews with the client are conducted to determine short and longterm goals, and to learn about their business and industry. Next, in-depth research on competitors, the industry and, if SEO is involved, keyword research is conducted. A strategy and editorial calendars are drafted, and then a digital marketing strategy is implemented.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I developed expertise in content creation and publishing as editor of the Malibu Times newspaper and Malibu Times Magazine. My interest in social media also began with The Malibu Times where I launched their social media and email marketing programs. Since I started Crackerjack Scribe, I have worked with a variety of businesses and industries including real estate, health, beauty, and the GIS and mapping technology space.
