At Pasadena Dog People, dogs are not just part of what we do. They are what we do. With nearly 30 years of combined professional experience, we work with dogs of all ages and backgrounds, from puppies learning the basics to more complicated behavioral cases involving fear, reactivity or aggression.
Our approach is thoughtful, practical and tailored to the individual dog. We believe good training should create clear communication, build confidence and improve the relationship between dogs and their people. We offer private training, structured daycare and boarding in a home environment, and we are insured for your peace of mind.

Jesslyn has been such a huge help for us and our (sometimes unruly!) one year old dog! Within a short window of time, Jesslyn was able to see what was happening and help us correct our behavior to support our girl, and the change has been so incredible to watch. She’s walking politely on a leash, jumping up less, calmer in the house, the list goes on!
Jesslyn is an extremely knowledgeable trainer, and a generally cool person to spend time with. She has a grounded presence that resonates with the pups, but also a warm playfulness. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for support with dog training or care. She is professional, punctual, communicative, and I’ve so appreciated that she doesn’t use the scare tactics some other trainers go for, but instead takes a strengths-based approach to help you create a new relationship with your dog.

I run a dog rescue and we have a lot of dogs we take on that have behavioral issues or lack proper training. We use Pasadena Dog People for board and train. They help curb bad behaviors tremendously and work with the fosters to keep the training up. They do such a great job. They communicate with me and send updates regularly! They really understand where the dogs are coming from and what they need in order to succeed. They work on each dog according to their needs, it’s not a one size fits all facility. I would highly recommend them.
